New build Farmhouse, West Sussex
This project involved the change of use from a barn rented out for storage (Class B8 storage) to a new dwelling (Class C3). The planning permission achieved was for the demolition of a large steel frame building and replacement with a large farmhouse with views over the owners fields.
A detailed Planning Statement accompanied the planning application to highlight how potential issues might be resolved, for instance the site was also on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB); and therefore careful consideration had to be given to the affect the new two storey farmhouse could have on the AONB.
My client wanted a sizeable 4 bedroom Farmhouse on the plot and through working closely with the planning department I was able to meet their brief.
Stuart has provided an excellent service and support throughout the various builds he has undertaken with us. He is approachable, understands our briefs, our restrictions and our need to keep things within budget. He has a good turnaround time and is provides a good common sense approach to the architectural design and management of the build.
