Barn conversion to holiday lets, North Norfolk
A planning application has been put together for the conversion of a set of barns on the North Norfolk coast to holiday lets. My client wanted to create a set of holiday lets to add a new revenue stream to their farming operations; whilst also ensuring their privacy was maintained due to the proximity of the barns to their house.
The photo above shows a similar look to the proposed application , incorporating similar materials and metal standing seam roof finish. Whilst the photo’s below show the existing barns , which are quite quirky for Norfolk barns with a lot of differing materials, heights and levels ; but from my perspective an interesting set of barns to work on none the less.
I put together floorplans/elevations for 4 holiday lets , including a detailed planning statement highlighting planning policies that would support this application . In preparation for the planning submission I also managed reports from ecologists, structural engineers, contamination reports and a put together highways visibility splay for the existing access.
