A pair of traditional sussex cottages were re-modelled with side and rear extensions. These farm workers cottages were very dark inside with many small rooms. The proposed design has transformed the downstairs living area, creating an open plan kitchen and sitting room area and added a large bedroom to the first floor. Prior to their renovation the client was living in one side and the other side was no longer occupied. The client can now enjoy their large open plan house and receive revenue from letting out the attached cottage.
